Martin Schlossberg 1 Dan

Martin started Judo trainning at Kumazawa Academy (Buenos Aires-Argentina) in 1970 (to help improve asthma) under Sensei Juan Manuel Moreno.  
Once a cadet, commenced training under Sensei Yoriyuki Yamamoto (6th Dan at that time).
Competed in many local tournaments; some achievements (of these I have the trophies here in Oz):
1973 Local tournament - 12yo category - 2nd
1976 Federacion de Judo de Buenos Aires (FJBA) - 15yo category - 3rd
1978 Local tournament - 17yo category - 1st
1981 Awarded 1st Dan
1982 Taught Judo at Sagrado Corazon School - After hours extra-curricular activity.
1983 Taught Judo at Faculty of Engineering - Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) - Short role; some 6 to 8 months.
1985 Had accident during practise and broke left shoulder - stopped all contact with judo.
1992 Emigrated to Melbourne, Australia.
2010 Recommenced Judo at Bentleigh McKinnon Southern under the supervision of Sensei Malcom Slade (7th Dan), Sensei John Dronryp (7th Dan), Graeme Grogan (2nd Dan) and David Pettett (2nd Dan).
2013 Awarded Coach recognition by Judo Victoria
